Ways to pay

Ways to pay for your home solar system

How payment works on a solar and battery project, what is confirmed in writing before you commit, and where finance fits in.

What you are paying for

A domestic solar project is a single installed system rather than a shopping list, so the figure you are quoted covers the design, the equipment, the scaffolding, the electrical work, the installation, the testing and commissioning, the grid paperwork and the handover documentation. The solar panel cost guide sets out every variable that moves that number.

How payment is structured

  • A written proposal comes first: specification, system size and total price
  • Payment stages are set out in your contract before any deposit is taken
  • Nothing is ordered until the technical survey has confirmed the design
  • Your cancellation rights are stated in the contract documentation

Solar panel finance

Finance is available on home solar and battery installations, so the cost can be spread over a term instead of paid in full up front. Because credit is regulated, we only publish finance terms once they are confirmed in writing by the lender — the lender, the APR, the available terms and the representative example all come from them, not from us.

Finance detail to be published

Our finance partner, APR, available terms, representative example and regulatory status are being confirmed and will be published here in full. Until then, ask us directly and we will send the lender's own documentation. No figures are shown on this page because none have been confirmed.

Finance is subject to status, affordability checks and the lender's approval. Nothing on this page is a quotation, an offer of credit or advice on whether credit is suitable for your circumstances.

Before you think about paying for anything

Start with the roof. A free satellite assessment tells you what your property could realistically support, which is what determines the size of the system you would be paying for in the first place.
